SGS
has been awarded a contract to complete a feasibility study for a new
facility for the Vigilant Hose Company in Shippensburg.
■
SGS
has completed design for the North American headquarters for Vacon, a
Finland based manufacturer. The 67,000 square foot building will
qualify for LEED Certification. The facility in the Chambers 5
Business Park,
Chambersburg, is expected to be completed in November of 2009. Brechbill
& Helman Construction Co, Inc. of
Chambersburg has been
chosen to construct the building.

SGS
is designing a new 800 seat church for St. Margaret Mary Parish,
Penbrook. Construction of the 15,000 square foot building is expected
to begin in April 2009.

SGS
has provided design services for the new K-8 school for Seven Sorrows
Parish in Middletown. The 48,000 square foot building is scheduled
for completion by June 1, 2009. eci Construction of Dillsburg is the
general contractor.

SGS
has completed architectural and engineering design for Rite Aid Stores
in Bellefonte and
Scranton.
Each store will be 14,500 square feet and will include a full service
pharmacy.

SGS
received a contract to provide architectural services for a new Oxford
Borough Police Station. The former Southern Chester County Family
Practice building at 57 North Fourth Street has been purchased by the
Borough and will be extensively renovated to accommodate the Borough
Police.

SGS
has completed renovations to the Borough of Lewistown Municipal
Building. The project included interior and exterior painting, new
carpet, masonry repairs and cleaning, interior storm windows, new
lighting, ADA upgrades and roof repairs. Jack Hess General Contractor of
Burnham served as the general contractor.

SGS
has been awarded contracts to provide architectural and engineering
services for new Giant Food Stores in
Manchester,
Pottstown, Altoona and Hanover. SGS will also provide services for
renovations and additions to stores in Easton, Carlisle and
Bethlehem. SGS has completed the design of a 4,000 square foot
convenience store for Giant. The first Giant To Go is under
construction in
Lancaster
County

SGS
has been chosen to provide design services for the new Cumberland
Valley Animal Shelter to be located on a beautiful 11 acre site
adjacent to the Letterkenny Army Depot. The 13,000 square foot
facility will provide much needed additional space for the shelter's
animals. The state of the art building will qualify for LEED
Certification. Brechbill & Helman Construction Co., Inc. of
Chambersburg serves as the design/build contractor.

is pleased to announce the addition of William R. Barlow II, A.I.A.,
LEED AP as Project Architect. Mr. Barlow is a Penn State University
graduate with over thirty years experience teaching and practicing
architecture.
