SGS has recently received the 2010 DBIA Pennsylvania Tri-State Region
design-build award for Hirschmann Automation and Control, Inc. in
Chambersburg, PA. The 2010 Annual Awards Dinner was held at the Lowes
Philadelphia Hotel on June 8, 2010.
Design Build
Institute of America (DBIA) promotes the value of design-build project
delivery and teaches the effective integration of design and
construction services.

SGS
was awarded a design contract for a new 15,000 square foot facility
for the West Hanover Township Fire Company. The facility will be
located on Jonestown Road, West Hanover Township, Dauphin County, PA.
Construction is anticipated to begin in April 2011.

was awarded a design contract for a 15,750 square foot addition to the
S.E.S Warehouse at
PPL
Brunner
Island,
York Haven, PA. Construction is anticipated to begin in September
2010.

received the 2010 Green Building Association of Central PA Green
Building Award for Water Efficiency. The award was for the
implementation of waterless and low-flow fixtures, installation of a
water reuse tank for the manufacturing process, and 100 percent
reduction of potable water for landscaping maintenance at Vacon, Inc.,
Chambersburg, PA.

SGS
was awarded a contract by Vigilant Hose Company #1 and the
Shippensburg EMS for their new facility. The 31,000 square foot
multistory building will be at the intersection of East Orange Street
and Walnut Bottom Road. The shared space will allow the organization
to work together and benefit financially. The project will be
registered with the U.S. Green Building Council in pursuit of LEED
Silver Certification. Construction is anticipated to begin in April
2011. Design team members include Brechbill & Helman Construction
Company of Chambersburg; Carl Bert & Associates of Shippensburg; The
Stone House Group of Bethlehem; Gatter & Diehl, Inc. of Mechanicsburg,
and Worcester Engineering Inc. of Dillsburg.

was awarded a contract to prepare a feasibility study for a new
complex for the Community Chapel of Hesston in Huntingdon County, PA.

was awarded the design contract for public area upgrades at the
Heilman House and Luther Meadows facilities located at the Lutheran
Home at Topton, Berks County, PA. The Lutheran Home at Topton campus
is a part of Diakon Social Ministries.

was awarded the design contract for upgrades to the independent living
units at Twining Village, Bucks County, PA. Twining Village is a part
of Diakon Social Ministries.

was awarded a contract to prepare a feasibility study for a new 300
seat church for St. Matthews Catholic Church, Dauphin, PA.

SGS
was awarded a contract to prepare a master plan study and building
evaluation for St. Theresa's Catholic Church, New Cumberland, PA.
