The Community Center is a
20,000 square feet one story structure which provides activity space for Jefferson County residents.
The space includes
a gymnasium to seat 400 spectators, a NCAA sized basketball court with
two shortened cross courts, volleyball courts, aerobics room, and
two activity rooms. Other support spaces include a lobby, offices,
reception area, concessions, toilet/shower rooms, and storage rooms.
The design responds to the goals and issues relating to the Community
Center facility for Jefferson County. The building is a pre-engineered
metal building with a metal roof and wall panels with unit masonry
accents.
