Faced with the need to upgrade mechanical
facilities and improve the structure to meet
fire and safety codes, SGS was engaged to
design the required modifications.
The project consisted of total renovation of
the second and third floors of the building
and selected modifications on the first floor.
A total HVAC replacement included a new
chiller, boiler, and cooling tower for the
four-pipe system. Lighting system upgrades
were required on the second and third floors
and in the first floor auditorium.
All doors in the facility were replaced to
meet fire safety codes and restrooms were
modified to meet ADA requirements.
Other work included electrical system
upgrades and telephone/data line
improvements.
